The Dean's Art Prize, kindly donated by our Dean, The Very Reverend and Venerable Dr Kenneth Lay , will be announced at the Exhibition Opening. This year the theme is “Townsville – The Built Environment”. This promises to be a captivating exploration of how architectural and man-made structures interact with and impact their surroundings.
Following on from a line of excellent artists who have graced us with their exceptional talents in the past, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from the key speaker and Featured Artist Kerrie Everett Horrocks. The presentation is expected to draw a significant audience, as she shares her experiences and discusses the intersection of art, environment, and conservation.
Known for her innovative work with the Museum of Underwater Art (MOUA), Horrocks will offer insights into her creative process and the significance of MOUA.
